a Birthday Gift

Dear Miss Aniston,

I was unable to reach you by normal means, so I put this up, thinking you might eventually find it.  Surprise--Happy Birthday!

I know this is a little odd, but I thought you may eventually do a website for ECHO FILMS and might appreciate someone locking-down this domain name for you.  I thought it would make a decent ice-breaker gift or at least a friendly gesture.  But since unsolicited favors are often taken the wrong way, I want to assure you that it wasn't too much trouble and there are no strings attached.  It was fun, inexpensive (about the same as two drinks at a bar), and it helped me to become a better writer.  [I can send it over on a temporary account which you or your people can take-over and make permanent by changing the password after signing-in (on GoDaddy)--see **below.]

Thank you for sharing your talents and being SO fun to watch over the years (!). I want to also thank you for your sacrifices of privacy in becoming an entertainer/public-figure.  Being that famous must be a pain in the neck sometimes, but the end result has been a lot of joy and good times for millions of people.  I've gotten more laughs from you and Courtney than anyone in history except for my immediate friends.  I'm sure that sort of thing is why so many people think of you as a friend even though they've never met you (which I bet feels weird at times).

You piqued my interest a couple of years back when I stumbled across bits and pieces of info which showed that you and I have an unusual amount of people, places, and things in common for two people who ended-up being raised on separate coasts (I think we even met as kids once).  That's basically why I did this--all the strange "coincidences" seemed exceptional, so I wanted to see if there was any significance to it all.  I figured, "It's a small world, but not that small."  I'm guessing none of that matters at this point, but it seemed worth mentioning.

I would rather have approached you differently and I apologize for the awkwardness, but considering your fame-situation (approaching you without an introduction is nearly impossible and certainly inadvisable), this was one of the very few ways I could think of to introduce myself.  Almost any other way could be construed as aggressive and I wouldn't want to do anything that would bother you (stranger that I am).

It would be fun to meet you one of these days, but for now, I hope you will receive this site as a friendly gift.  Again, no strings.  **If you have Megan contact me, I'll send her the info.

Wishing You All The Best,

Michael  (zumachuma@gmail.com)

P.S.:  Go St. Jude!  (I’m with you all the way in supporting them.)
